Starting feeling overwhelmed often comes from the feeling like things are happening to you. In this episode of Thrive in Five, we are talking about how to reclaim your power by taking ownership of your time, energy, and decisions because no one else can do it for you. Let's be honest for a minute. If you don't own your time, someone else will. Whether it's clients, coworkers, kids, or endless notifications, your time will be eaten up by other people's priorities. If you don't take the lead. The same goes for your decisions. If you're waiting on permission, approval, or the perfect conditions to move forward, you are going to be stuck in place. Taking ownership isn't just a productivity hack, it's a mindset shift. It means saying, I'm responsible for how I spend my time. I'm in charge of what I say yes to, and if something isn't working, I can change it. Let's walk through three ways to fully own your time and decisions. The first one, audit. How you're spending time Before you can take ownership. You need to be aware. For one day, write down how you're spending every hour. No judgment, just observation. You'll quickly see where your time is getting away and what needs to shift. The next thing, protect boundaries. Like you protect your priorities. Ownership means protecting what matters. That might look like blocking time on your calendar for focused work or saying no to that request. That just doesn't align. Boundaries aren't selfish. They're strategic and they give you the space to show up for what truly moves you forward. Then decide with confidence. Every time you delay a decision or second guess yourself, your handing away your power. Not deciding is a decision. It's a decision to stay stuck. So make the call, choose the path, move forward knowing that even if you course correct later, you're taking aligned action. This works because when you take full ownership of your time and decisions, you step into the leadership of your life, your business, and your results. It builds confidence, clarity, and momentum. It reminds you that you are not waiting. You are creating. If you would like to implement this strategy immediately, here are your action steps. Track how much time you spend. For one full day. Identify one boundary you need to set to protect your priorities. Make one decision today that you've been putting off and follow through. You're not stuck, you're not behind. You just need to take back the steering wheel. Own your time. Own your choices. Own your results. You've got this.
